Hirschler Welcomes Partners Andy Clark and Penn Rogers

Hirschler is pleased to announce the addition of partners Andrew K. Clark and N. Pendleton (Penn) Rogers in the firm’s Richmond office. Andy joins the firm’s litigation and ADR practice, and Penn joins the firm’s corporate and business services practice specializing in tax.

Andy, who practiced with Hirschler from 2001-2005, returns with nearly two decades of experience helping clients navigate high-stakes business litigation and disputes, including commercial and contract disputes, construction and mechanic’s lien disputes, commercial and residential landlord-tenant disputes, insurance coverage disputes, and other civil matters. His practice also includes trust and estate disputes, and professional liability matters. An active member of the Federal Bar Association for more than 15 years, Andy presently serves on the FBA’s National Board of Directors. He earned his law degree from the University of Richmond School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Virginia Military Institute.

Penn joins Hirschler with more than 40 years of experience handling federal, state, local and international taxation matters, including tax controversy issues, tax-exempt organizations and legislative representation before federal and local governing bodies. He advises clients on the tax implications of a wide range business transactions, including acquisitions and divestitures, corporate restructurings, joint ventures, financings, international investments and transactions involving historic, alternative energy and low-income housing tax credits. He is a member of the American Bar Association Section on Taxation’s State & Local Tax and Capital Recovery & Leasing Committees, as well as the council of the Virginia Bar Association’s Tax Section. Penn earned his LL.M in taxation from New York University School of Law, his law degree from St. John’s University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from The University of the South (Sewanee).
