Lisa Hedrick Wins Legal Advisor of the Year at 21st Annual M&A Advisor Awards; Hirschler Named Finalist for Law Firm of the Year

Hirschler is pleased to announce that The M&A Advisor has named Lisa Hedrick the 2022 Legal Advisor of the Year for the 21^st Annual M&A Advisor Awards. After being named one of four finalists in September, Lisa was awarded the top prize at the publication’s Awards Gala in New York City on November 15 as part of the 2022 Future of Dealmaking Summit. Hirschler was also named one of four national finalists for Law Firm of the Year.

Hedrick leads the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions practice group, and she is a recognized leader in her field on the local and national level. She is a longtime member of the American Bar Association’s Mergers and Acquisitions Committee and is currently the vice chair of the Market Trends Subcommittee. Hedrick is also an issue group leader for the ABA’s Private Target M&A Deal Points Study and has been a member of this influential working group since 2011. She is currently a board member and president for the Richmond Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), the region’s premier dealmaking networking and education group. In July 2021, Hedrick joined the board of directors for the Richmond Bar Association and previously served as a member of the organization’s Finance Committee.

Hedrick’s work has also earned her numerous accolades and a national reputation within the industry. In 2022, she was named to the seventh annual “Most Influential Women in Mid-Market M&A” by Mergers & Acquisitions Magazine. Hedrick has been named a “Leader in the Field” by Chambers USA for the Corporate/M&A category in Southern Virginia each year since 2017, and she earned her first ranking by Chambers USA as an associate in 2015. Hedrick was named an Emerging Leader by The M&A Advisor in 2016, and she was named a “Rising Star” by Virginia Super Lawyers in the Mergers & Acquisitions category each year since 2013. She was also named the Young Lawyer of the Year by the Richmond Bar Association in 2016.

Also named a finalist in the Annual M&A Advisors Awards in the Law Firm of the Year category, Hirschler’s Mergers and Acquisitions practice group is comprised of experienced negotiators and dealmakers who help clients (1) grow and expand their businesses through acquisitions, mergers, leveraged buyouts, joint ventures, and other strategic business combinations, and (2) realize the success of their businesses through sales, recapitalizations and other divestitures. In 2021, the firm counseled clients to close more than 57 deals valued at over $3.4 billion. In addition to being a four-time winner of The M&A Advisor’s “Law Firm of the Year” award (2013 – 2016), the firm is ranked by Chambers USA for Corporate M&A.
