Bankruptcy Partner Larry Katz Recognized Among “Leaders in the Law” by Virginia Lawyers Weekly

Hirschler is pleased to announce that firm partner Lawrence (Larry) A. Katz has been selected for the 2020 class of Leaders in the Law published by Virginia Lawyers Media. Honorees were selected by the publication for their work to change the law, serve the community, improve Virginia’s justice system and other accomplishments. The new class of Leaders in the Law was celebrated during a virtual honors ceremony on October 22, 2020, and the full list is available here.  

Katz is a member of Hirschler’s Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Creditors’ Rights practice, which currently has four Chambers USA-ranked bankruptcy attorneys in Virginia. He has handled bankruptcy and creditors’ rights issues from every legal perspective, representing debtors and creditors alike in court room proceedings and boardroom negotiations. Among his debtor clients are real estate and hotel developers, business entrepreneurs and commercial enterprises in Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganizations, liquidations and out-of-court restructurings. His creditors clients include lenders and unsecured creditors’ committees.

Katz was recently quoted on restaurant and retail bankruptcies in The Wall Street Journal and is a regular contributor to Hirschler’s Bankruptcy Couch Counsel series.
