Katherine R. Morrison

Katie focuses her practice on representing privately-held, middle market companies involved in mergers and acquisitions. She advises her clients on all aspects of stock and asset transactions, including working with investment bankers and clients to coordinate due diligence, negotiate definitive agreements, and successfully close the transaction. In addition to M&A  transactions, Katie works with businesses to provide ongoing corporate counsel and advice on a wide range of legal issues, including contract negotiation, corporate restructurings, financing transactions, entity formation, and general business matters.

Prior to joining Hirschler, Katie worked as a corporate associate in the Washington, D.C. office of a large firm based in the Midwest. Before entering the legal profession, Katie managed sales for various craft beer breweries.

Katie lives in her hometown of Fairfax, Virginia with her husband, Joe, daughter, Lily, and dog, Kevin. When she’s not at the office or spending time with her family, you can find Katie practicing hot yoga or playing on the pickle ball and tennis courts. She is also an avid traveler, restaurant goer and red wine lover.
