Kollin’s practice primarily focuses on providing representation to debtors, creditors, chapter 7 trustees, and other parties in interest throughout the bankruptcy process, and assisting clients with financial restructurings.  Kollin’s practice also includes commercial litigation and creditors’ rights. 

Prior to joining Hirschler, Kollin practiced bankruptcy law at Hunton Andrews Kurth and clerked in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of North Carolina for the Honorable Laura Turner Beyer.

Representation of plan administrators and liquidating trustees in chapter 11 cases, including pursuit of avoidance actions and liquidation of assets. 

Representation of chapter 7 trustees in cases involving asset sales and pursuit of avoidance actions.

Representation of a debtor in the healthcare industry in a chapter 11 proceeding. 

Representation of unsecured creditors and parties in interest in chapter 11 cases, including landlords, electric providers, trade vendors, medical suppliers, auto industry suppliers, and individuals with asbestos claims. 

Representation of parties in interest in out-of-court workouts and dissolutions.

Representation of secured creditors and other creditors in creditor’s rights actions, including foreclosures, garnishments, and other collection proceedings.

Representation of landlords and trade creditors in commercial litigation proceedings, including in cases involving breach of contract and in unlawful detainer proceedings.

Representation of all parties-in-interest in out-of-court restructurings and liquidations.

A native of Hampton Roads, Virginia, Kollin moved to Richmond after spending five years in North Carolina. When he is not working, you will often find him at a local brewery, restaurant, or exploring Richmond. Kollin loves to read and is a fan of both college and professional basketball. Despite attending both UNC and UVA, he is a Hoo for life and will cheer for UVA every time.
