Hirschler Earns Midsized Mansfield™ Rule Certification Recognizing Actions to Promote Equal Opportunity in Paths to Firm Leadership

Hirschler is pleased to announce it has earned the distinction of Midsized Mansfield™ Rule Certification from Diversity Lab. Following a 16-month collaboration with Diversity Lab, Midsized Mansfield™ Rule Certification requires firms to achieve standards designed to ensure all talent has a fair and equal opportunity to advance into leadership. Upon this initial certification, Hirschler has also renewed its commitment for upholding these standards for the 2023-2024 certification period.

Launched in 2020 for firms with 25 to 150 lawyers, the Midsized Mansfield™ Rule Certification is modeled after the large firm version that started in 2017, and it has been fine-tuned and tailored to boost diversity in leadership for firms with midsize-rosters, -leadership structures and -footprints. To achieve Midsized Mansfield™ Rule Certification, firms must consider 30% qualified historically underrepresented attorneys for various leadership roles and activities, including equity partner promotions, appointment to managing partner, appointment to high-level firm governance positions, participation in formal client pitches, all attorney and senior professional staffing hiring, and transparency in job responsibilities for governance roles and appointments.
