Hirschler Fleischer is pleased to announce the promotion of three attorneys to partner: Stacie C. Bordick, Lisa J. Hedrick and Benjamin G. Thompson.

“Stacie, Lisa and Ben have contributed significantly to the firm, providing clients with strategic guidance and trusted legal advice,” said Jim Weinberg, president of Hirschler Fleischer. “Their promotion is a testament to the leadership they have demonstrated with their clients, our profession and the firm.”

Stacie C. Bordick

Resident in the firm’s Fredericksburg office, Stacie Bordick is a member of the firm’s Litigation and ADR Practice Group. She handles a broad range of civil and commercial matters including contract negotiation and disputes, business torts, land use, condemnation litigation, employment matters and landlord tenant matters.

She has been recognized by her peers among Virginia Super Lawyers’ “Rising Stars” and “Super Lawyers” for business litigation. She is an active member of the Women’s Initiatives Network at Hirschler Fleischer (WIN at HF) and the Fredericksburg Chapter of the Virginia Women Attorney Association.  Bordick currently serves on the Board of Directors for Rappahannock Legal Services, Inc., and she is an active member of the Fredericksburg Bar Association and the Virginia Bar Association.

Prior to joining Hirschler Fleisher, Bordick served as a law clerk for the Honorable Michael F. Urbanski, United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia and as a Pro Se Law Clerk for the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia.

Bordick earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of William & Mary and her law degree cum laude from the University of Dayton School of Law.

Lisa J. Hedrick

Lisa Hedrick’s is a member of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group. Her practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital raising, private equity, business formation and general business law. She is a trusted advisor to numerous operating companies, private equity firms and constituents.

Hedrick has contributed significantly to the firm’s vaulting to prominent national recognition in the M&A space, most notably its recognition as the M&A Advisor’s  “Law Firm of the Year” award in 2013, 2014 and 2015. In June 2015, she was named an “Associate to Watch,” by Chambers USA, a well-regarded legal benchmarking directory, which conducts independent research on US law firms and lawyers. Recognition in the Chambers guide is based exclusively on client and peer feedback.

Hedrick is a former chair of the Business Section of the Richmond Bar Association. She currently serves on the executive committee of the RBA Business Section and the Administration of Justice Committee.

Hedrick is an active member of the Mergers and Acquisitions Committee of the American Bar Association.    She has participated in the working groups for the ABA 2011, 2013 and 2015 Private Target Deal Points Studies and currently serves on the Judicial Interpretations Subcommittee and the M&A Dictionary Task Force.  She is also a proud member of the Virginia Bar Association and the Virginia State Bar.

She serves as a liaison for the Richmond chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), an organization she supported and promoted since 2008. An advocate for greater diversity in the profession, Hedrick is a member of the firm’s Recruiting Committee and the Women’s Initiatives Network at Hirschler Fleischer (WIN at HF).

Hedrick earned her undergraduate degree with honors from the College of William & Mary, and her law degree summa cum laude from the Washington and Lee School of Law.

Benjamin G. Thompson

Ben Thompson is a member of the firm’s Investment Management Practice Group and its Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group. He is resident in the firm’s Richmond and Tysons offices.

Thompson works with institutional investors, fund sponsors and investment advisers providing investment counsel and assisting with fund formation.  He also advises investment management clients on matters involving regulatory compliance.  In addition, Thompson regularly advises clients on matters including corporate finance, private securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions and investments and general corporate and governance matters.

Thompson is a fellow of the American College of Investment Counsel and is a member of the firm’s Retirement Plan Committee.  He is also involved with Sports Backers and enjoys participating in Richmond’s many running events.

Prior to joining Hirschler Fleischer, Thompson was an associate at Willke Farr & Gallagher LLP in New York City.

Thompson earned his undergraduate cum laude from Williams College and his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.
